Ministry
The St. Thomas More Lawyers Society is committed to serving others and supporting the spiritual and educational development of our community. Our ministries reflect the compassionate example of St. Thomas More, who dedicated his life to serving God and neighbor.
The Guest House
Since 1984, individual members of the St. Thomas More Lawyers Society have been supplying food for the residents at Guest House in Milwaukee. Each Saturday, a volunteer (usually with help from family members) prepares about 100 sandwiches (stored in individual plastic bags), adds in 100 treats of some kind, along with 100 pieces of fruit, and delivers the food in shopping bags to Guest House at 1216 North 13th Street in downtown Milwaukee. Some of the sandwiches are served for the Saturday night dinner at Guest House; others are given to members of the homeless community who are in need of food.

The Bishop Perry Scholarship
The Bishop Perry Scholarship was established at Marquette University Law School in 1998 by the St. Thomas More Lawyers Society to recognize the ordination of Bishop Joseph N. Perry to the episcopacy and his service as chaplain to the Society and as an adjunct professor of canon law at the Law School. Prior to Bishop Perry’s Episcopal consecration in 1998, he served twenty-three years in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, including twelve as Judicial Vicar.
The Scholarship helps the Law School attract and retain a diverse student body. In awarding the Scholarship, the Law School give preference to students that are members of groups historically underrepresented in the legal profession.
